Shops in Chrisp Street
Shops at 2-10 Chrisp Street, Poplar, on the corner with Susannah Street. Two men pause to look at the displays in the windows of the Toy Bazaar at numbers 2-4; a child's pram and a baby doll are visible amongst the items for sale. Signs in the window advertise a sale and price reductions. There is also a Corgi toys advertisement. The shop has a double 'in-go' entrance, separated by a central pillar. The doorway and windows are protected by steel mesh security grilles. Next door are the run-down premises of Kirk Snowden Ltd chemists. Two doors down is Barton's, the bakers. Fixed on the wall above the shop awning is a sign for Interflora. Two saloon cars are parked by the pavement, one a Ford Anglia. These buildings no longer exist. They have been replaced by a six-storey housing block.
