View of the Grade II listed Tottenham High Cross monument, listing number 1188856, next to shops at 346 to 350 High Road, Tottenham, looking south, before the junction with Monument way on the left. The shops include Tanners, Regent restaurant and snack bar, and a tobacconists with the former Charrington's Rose and Crown public house seen with Toby signs above the door and at the top of the building, beyond the junction. An advertising hoarding, partly obscured by the number 243 Routemaster bus, can be seen with posters for Worthington E beer and Sovereign cigarettes. Shops on the opposite side of the street include Johns fish bar and Eatco Halal butchers next to further shops in the parade, one of which, has an advertising hoarding on the flank wall, with posters for Nescafe instant coffee, Haig blended whisky and Heinz soup. Vehicles seen in the three-lane northbound carriageway include Ford Thames Trader and D-series trucks, another London Routemaster bus and a Bedford TK lorry parked at the road side. The shops and public house on the left have since been demolished and replaced by a five-storey retail development with housing above and a widening of the junction permitting traffic flow in both directions.
