View of front elevation of Bickenhall Mansions, Bickenhall Street, Marylebone. Red brick mansion flats with gables built in 1869 by W.H.Scrymgeour. Once the home of the British Special Operations Executive, an arm of the intelligence services during World War II, originally based in Baker Street. Distinctive architectural features of door entrances framed by an arch of ornate stonework. Vertical rows of large bay windows create false turrets, with rows of chimneys on roofs. Railings outside property. Motorcycles, cars parked at parking meters including a United Dairies milk float.
