View of front elevations of two-storey early nineteenth-century terraced houses at 7-8 Wade Street, Poplar. On the left are vacant sites behind a brick wall where houses damaged by World War II bombing once stood. The area was heavily bombed during World War II and many properties were either destroyed or damaged. The remains of the plastered wall and dado rail of the staircase and first floor of the demolished number 5 is visible on the side wall of number 7. To the right of number 8 is another vacant site with a parked lorry. The remains of fireplaces are visible on the side wall of number 15. Road sign for 'School', and a street lamp post are in view. The road surface is wet after recent rainfall. The buildings were later demolished and all trace of Wade Street was removed. The grounds of Our Lady and St Joseph Catholic Primary School now occupy the site.
