Description
View of the side elevation of the three-storey works building of Beecham Foods, 19-23 Westferry Road, Isle of Dogs, seen from Cuba Street. Looking towards Westferry Road, Sufferance Wharf and the Victorian two-storey Blacksmith's Arms public house at 25 Westferry Road, and showing a cobbled street with telephone wire poles and parked cars. On the right are the double sliding wooden doors of the engineering works. The works buildings for Beecham Foods Ltd and the engineering works were later demolished and apartment builldings were built on the site in 2008. Buildings on the left were also demolished and in 2020 it was a building site. The Blacksmith's Arms later became an Indian-Bangladeshi restaurant called Aniseed.
