Front elevation of terraced buildings at 122-124 Poplar High Street, Poplar, looking south. Number 124 on the left is a three-storey building with set back upper floors and stucco facing inscribed with a mock stone motif and a mansard roof with a single window. The building is occupied by C.O. Bircham & Son gun makers with a display of shotguns and a sword in the window. Next door, number 122 is a four-storey brick building with arched brickwork and arched windows on the ground floor. This building is the premises of N.B. Walters (Nathan Baraf) a wholesale confectioner with signs advertising "Wholesale Manufacturing Confectioner, Shops Supplied" and "Cheapest House in the Trade for Country Dealers, Price Lists Free". All of the buildings in the terrace have since been demolished and this is now the location of the New City College.
