A view of the Grundy Arms public house, Grundy Street, Poplar, with a car parked outside and a telegraph pole on the corner with Vesey Street. There are vacant sites on three sides of the junction due to bombing during World War II. The Grundy Arms was demolished to make way for the building of Chrisp Street Market which now occupies the whole area seen in this photograph.
