Front elevations of terraced houses in Paddington, starting with side entrance of 161 Sussex Gardens, 1-9 Sussex Place (formerly Little Sussex Place), and then Radnor Lodge on the corner of Gloucester Square in the foreground. Numbers 1-9 Sussex Place were built in the early to mid-nineteenth century, with four storeys and basements, first-floor iron balconies and iron basement railings. They were Grade II listed in 1975, listing numbers 1237439 and 1264114. Radnor Lodge has replaced earlier houses. This part of Sussex Place was previously called Devonport Street. Numbers 7-9 Sussex Place now form Hyde Park Radnor Hotel. Cars parked outside include a Ford Cortina, Fiat X1/9, Volvo estate and Ford Escort.
