Buildings at 61-63 Stamford Street, Waterloo, at the corner of Duchy Street which is unchanged today. The building at 61 Stamford Street is the London Nautical School which was established as a secondary school for boys in 1915 in response to the Titanic disaster and has maintained close links to the maritime industry. The building itself was built in the early nineteenth century and in 1820 was the site of the School of the Benevolent Society of St Patrick which was founded to assist distressed persons of Irish descent resident in London. An off-licence 'Wines & Spirits' is at number 63 and as of 2020 it is the premises of Konditor & Cook bakery. The building next to this has distinctive patterned curtains and a woman passes by the iron railings outside. A tall lamp post and belisha beacon are on the pavement, with a car and bicycle parked on Duchy Street.
