View of 2-18 Pelham Place, South Kensington. The first two house on the left are 16-18 Pelham Place, a pair of stucco semi-detached houses built in the 1830s by James Jolley and Grade II listed; entry number 1065846. They are two storey plus basement and have small front gardens. The large windows have working shutters, and the ground-floor windows have ornate window balconies. The porches have Doric columns. The roof is pitched and there are many tall chimneys. They can also be seen on image number 85740. Number 14 Pelham Place is the next house; 2-14 Pelham Place is Grade II* listed; listing number 1065845. 8 Pelham Place has a Blue Plaque to commemorate Sir Cecil Beaton, photographer and designer for screen and theatre who lived there between 1940 and 1975. It is a very quiet road with only one parked car, next to it is an old gas lamp, converted to electricity.
