Description
A view looking down Charing Cross Road and St Giles High Street from St Giles Circus, Holborn. At the centre of the photograph is John Somers motor accessories shop at 168-174 Charing Cross Road. Above the shop at 178 Charing Cross Road is Sears and Nalson advertising agents and Imperial Mansions. The street is very busy with pedestrians and vehicles. Many of the buildings in this photograph were later demolished for the building of the Centre Point tower block.
