Description
A general view of Bedford Way, Holborn, showing the Raglan Hotel at number 34, signposted. Four-storey brick buildings in various shades. Iron railings in front of basements and at first-floor balconies. A young tree has been planted in the pavement. People standing by a doorway and a car parked outside. The buildings, 38-51 Bedford Way, have since been replaced with a seven-storey hotel, now called Royal National Hotel, which boasts 1630 rooms. The Virginia Woolf building on Tavistock Square can be seen in the background with the sign for the Tavistock Hotel entrance. A narrow building has been built where the gap was.
