Description
6 Bedford Square, Holborn. Interior staircase and banister. Beneath the stairs are a bookcase and a ladder. The house is a part of terrace of ten houses, numbers 1-10, forming the east side of the square, built in 1775-86 by W. Scott. The houses, with attached railings, were Grade I listed in 1951; List Entry Number: 1272304. Number 6 now has a blue plaque commemorating Lord Eldon, the Lord Chancellor (1751-1838), who lived at the address.
