A general view of 13-31 Brompton Road, Chelsea, at the corner with Sloane Street, including the Brompton Arcade. It was built in 1903-04 and designed by George Dennis Martin. Other shops can be seen: Wallis, Barri-Moore and United Colours of Benetton. It is a symmetrical design with two white stone-clad sections and a middle brick one with decorated arched sections around windows on first and second floors. The ground floor has shop fronts topped with arches. One building next door is stone-clad and has a dome on top and dormer windows. Road signs, traffic lights, road islands and hatched road markings can be seen. Since, the arcade has been incorporated into a shop, and then in 2018 the building was demolished, except for the stone front elevations which will be incorporated into a new build by Fletcher Priest Architects.
