View of rear elevation of 70 Sclater Street, Bethnal Green. To the left is the larger massing of number 68. Pantiles cover the two main roofs and corrugated iron over the lean-to. A lintel under the roof may indicate where a previous larger window was situated. This weavers’ tenement house was constructed 1718-20 and form the last remnant of a terrace. Three storeys with a cellar, and staircases to the front. Each floor comprises one room which served as both a working and living space. Although not a listed building these buildings are due to be incorporated into a new development of the Bishopgate Goodsyard area. All these buildings still exist.
