Description
View of rear elevation of 78 Sclater Street, Bethnal Green. Pantiles cover the two main roofs. Wood is stacked on end wall where the shadow of a previous range can still be seen on the brickwork. This weavers’ tenement house was constructed 1718-20. Three storeys with a cellar, and staircases to the front. Each floor comprises one room which served as both a working and living space. This building no longer exists and is part of a car park.
