Description
General view of Roman Road, Bethnal Green, looking west. At the time of the photograph it was called Green Street. On the left is the Weaver's Arms public house at 1 Warley Street. Bonner Street school is on the right just past the market stalls. At the far end on thew right hand side is Olf Friends public house. A trolley bus heads west to Willesden. Numerous people including a police constable throng the road. Most of the buildings on the right still exist although those on the left have been replaced.
