Description
Battersea Baptist Chapel Sunday School, York Road, Battersea, seen from the junction with Benfield Street. Battersea Grove Boys' School stood on this site from c1840 until 1887, when it became a Sunday School and vaccination centre. The building shown was constructed between 1911-2 to designs by George Baines and Son, and demolished in the 1970s as part of the development of York Gardens. The chapel and school were relocated to Wye Street.
