General view of Bishop's Way, Tower Hamlets, looking west towards Cambridge Heath Road by Parmiter Place. Numbers 3-19 appear on the right of the photograph with what was the George & Dragon public house at number 15 with advertising hoardings for Piccadilly cigarettes, Schweppes bitter lemon and also Harp lager on the side wall of number 19 . A van drives through and arch from a printing works behind the pub. The railway bridge is that of the Great Eastern Railway - Cambridge Line. On the left is number 6 Bishop's Way which led on to the Arabian public house at 234 Cambridge Heath road which is unseen. Opposite this would have been the White Horn public house at number 236 also unseen in this photograph. Nearest are pre-fabricated houses built after the Second World War. All the buildings seen with the exception of the modern building to the right, pre-fabs and number 19 still exist.
