Description
Looking south at dilapidated buildings at 5-7 (right to left) Grange Road, Bermondsey. Number 5 was Abraham Burton’s toy dealership. The archway on the left gives access to David and Benjamin Gladding’s rug making works at number 7. A group of men and children pose. The photograph was taken prior to demolition for the building of the new section of Tower Bridge Road where it is to deviate from the alignment of Bermondsey New Road.
