Description
View of front elevations of buildings at 25-33 Lower Road, Bermondsey, at the junction with Albion Street. Erwig and Son corner shop bakery at number 25. Advertisement posters on the flank wall include ones for Bovril, New Cross Empire and other theatres, Edwards Soup, and cocoa. Men and children watch the photographer on the pavement in front. Next door at number 27 is W. Frampton tobacconist. All buildings were later demolished and replaced with housing, and Lower Road re-routed to create a roundabout for access to the Bermondsey Tunnel.
