A view of the top of Ludgate Hill from the portico of St Paul's Cathedral, City of London. The busy street scene includes cars, vans, double decker buses and three coaches, two of which are either picking up or dropping off a party of uniformed schoolchildren. The street furniture in front of the cathedral includes some of the 40 granite bollards and four cast iron lamp posts (from 1874) that were Grade II listed in 1972 and 2016 respectively; listing numbers Bollards 1358872, Lamp Posts 1433513. The office building on the right is covered in scaffolding, on which three workers sit. Behind this building is the spire of St Martin's church. In the distance, the distinctive spire of St Bride's can also be seen.
