Description
Bank Underground Railway Station showing the bridge erected by a party of Royal Engineers, after men of the Pioneer Corps had cleared away the debris. A high explosive bomb exploded in the booking hall, 11th January 1941. The casualties were approximately 57 killed, including one police constable, and 70 persons injured.
