View of the Inn sign for the White Horse Public House on Poplar High Street, Tower Hamlets. Includes the legend of the managing companies, Truman, Hanbury Buxton & Co. Sign is topped with a statue of a horse raising its front right leg, head slightly bowed and mouth open. On the right is the White Horse Public House. In the background another public house can be seen. This wooden inn sign dates form the eighteenth-century and is Grade II listed; List Entry Number 1065068. The Public House was demolished and replaced with residential blocks in the early twenty-first-century, while the Inn sign remains in place on the junction with Saltwell Street.
