Illustrations of fourteen 'Ioway Indians' who appeared at Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly and Lords Cricket Grounds. They set up camp and performed a religious ceremony to mark setting up camp in a new place. They performed dances, archery and a ball game similar to hurling outside. 'Ioway Indians' are known as Báxoje in their language and are a Native American Siouan people. Today, they are enrolled in either of two federally recognised tribes, the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma and the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.
