Description
The map was sold by Robert Greene at the Rose and Crowne in Budge Row, London. Royal arms and City arms. Includes a key to churches, buildings and streets. Includes a reclining female figure holding dividers in the area of St. George's Fields. Although atrributed to Wenceslas Hollar it is very unlikely this map was by him, both on the grounds of style and also that Hollar died in 1677, some time before this map was drawn. Scale: 9 1/8":1 mile [1:6944]. Extent: Clerkenwell-Mile End-Lambeth-St. James's Street.
