Description
View of the London Almshouses, Park Hill, Brixton. The Corporation of London resolved to commemorate the Great Reform Bill of 1832 by instituting almshouse buildings in Park Hill (later Ferndale Road), Brixton. Originally denoted as 'City of London Freemen's Houses' or 'Reform Almshouses', they became known as the London Almshouses.
