Description
View of a winding stair from the ground-floor entrance hall in 869 High Road, Tottenham, a Grade II listed house, listing number 1079211. The hall is seen in a dilapidated state with peeling wall coverings, falling ceilings and debris covering the floor. The stair has square-headed barley twist spindles, a moulded banister rail and a square newel post with a moulded cap, and timber panels below the wall side handrail. A door with a spring self-closer, marked 'Enquiries', can be seen on the left, probably relating to it's former use as the premises of Stephens Sherlock and Co Limited, wholesale mantle manufacturers [clothing].
