View of the front elevation of three-storey with basement houses at 867 and 869 High Road, Tottenham, looking west. The Georgian period houses are Grade II listed, listing number 1079211, and include the former premises of Stephens Sherlock and Co. Limited, wholesale mantle manufacturers (clothing). The building is seen in a derelict state with grimy brickwork, and broken, boarded-up, and missing windows. A first-floor scaffolding balcony has been erected, seen with a man beneath, sheltering in the doorway of number 867. Commuters with umbrellas can be seen waiting at an adjacent bus stop in front of the side entrance and the neighbouring, 'Figgy - His and Hers' hair dressers and adjacent wireworks premises. The entrance gates of the neighbouring haulage depot can be seen on the right with trailers, with a fork lift truck and a gantry carrying the overhead lines of the former Enfield branch of the Great Eastern Railway visible in the background.
