Description
Sydney Road is an estate of late-Victorian houses off Church Road in the Sheen Road conservation area of Richmond-upon-Thames. This view shows part of a terrace of five three-storey terraced houses at 28-30 on the west side of Sydney Road. The frontages of the outer houses of each terrace are perpendicular to those of the inner houses, and so number 28's entrance is out of view to the right, beyond the garden tree. Some of the houses have been extended to the rear and the outer houses of adjacent terraces have extended their front entrances to face the street, almost forming one continuous terrace. Many have also had their front gardens turned into car ports, including those shown. The adjacent block of four houses is also shown beyond to the right of view.
