Description
Sydney Road is an estate of late-Victorian houses off Church Road in the Sheen Road conservation area of Richmond-upon-Thames. This view shows the frontage of number 31, one of a terrace of five three-storey houses on the west side of the road, with its neighbouring houses at 30 and 32 also part-visible. A flowering lilac tree in number 32's front garden overhangs number 31's gateway. The paved garden, gate, wall, and trellis fence have since been removed to create a paved car port, although planting pockets have allowed climbers to grow across the ground floor brickwork, replacing the climbing rose and trellis also shown.
