This view shows a row of distinctive two-storey terraced cottages at 1-4 Waterfield Cottages, Derby Road, East Sheen. Believed to have been built in the late-nineteenth century, they are listed locally as Buildings of Townscape Merit. Rose bushes are shown in bloom in their front gardens, which have impressive piered and capped brick boundary walls. Number 2 has an estate agent's stakeboard showing as having been sold by Cumbers and Harper. Number 4's ground-floor window differs from the other cottages' paired windows, having a bowed Georgian style. Number 1, on the corner of Coval Lane, appears since to have had its frontage extended and remodelled in yellow rather than red brick and no longer matches the rest of the terrace. The post-war flats at Park Sheen are also visible beyond to the left.
