View of Brewers Lane, Richmond, looking towards George Street, with Court Antiques at numbers 12-14 taking prominence. This paved passageway links the Richmond Green conservation area to George Street, in the Central Richmond conservation area, and has a number of listed buildings from the eighteenth century. Numbers 12-14 were Grade II listed in 1968, listing number 1080865. A period-style lantern is suspended above the shop. Also in view beyond Court Antiques are the Lantern Restaurant, N.Courlander jewellers, and another period style lantern. Courlander occupies a corner site incorporating 55-56 George Street and 2-8 Brewers Lane. Number 8 Brewers Lane was Grade II listed in 1983; listing number 1080864, as were numbers 2, 4, and 6; listing number 1080863. In the background across George Street with the modern shop front can be seen Greyhound House, formerly The Greyhound Hotel, Grade II listed in 1950; listing number 1080824. Opposite numbers 12-14 to the left of frame are the signs for The Britannia public house, including a Watneys Red Barrel sign. The Britiannia is also Grade II listed, in 1983; listing number 135054.
