Description
The Orchard, Hampstead Way, Temple Fortune. These buildings were originally designed as old people's flats by Parker and Unwin. They were redeveloped in 1970-74 to a more modern design by M. Darke, for the Orchard Housing Society. The image shows the south side's gallery and first floor balcony's brickwork, some in a chevron pattern. There appears to be a central passage through the building and there is open staircase at the end to access the balcony.
