Front elevation of the west block of Capel Gardens, Pinner Road, containing flats 2-24. Capel Gardens comprise three almost identical residential Art Deco buildings designed by local architect H.J. Mark and built by the Courtenay Property Company Limited in 1936. They are approached by a private side road. The blocks are set back from Pinner Road and are separated from it by ornamental gardens, with curving paths, large trees, flower beds and grassed areas. Each building is brick-built with white render and comprises three-storeys with distinctive green-coloured tiles and window frames. A twin complex, Pinner Court which lies across the driveway from Pinner Road to Pinner Cemetery and consists of two L-shaped buildings containing 18 flats each, is Grade II listed; List Entry Number: 1254195. Parked cars, including Volkswagen Beetle.
