Description
View of side elevation of an unidentified large detached house in Crystal Palace Park Road, Sydenham. It is one of the asymmetric neo-gothic Arts and Crafts style houses lining the park side of Crystal Palace Park Road, each of them unique, designed by John Norton and built in the 1870s and 1880s on land sold off by the Crystal Palace Company to offset its significant debts. Converted into multiple dwellings, they became dilapidated in the 1970s and some were demolished, but most of them have been restored.
