View of front elevation of a detached house at 21 Crystal Palace Park Road, Sydenham. It no longer exists; ground maintenance vehicle parking site for Crystal Palace Park is now where it once stood. It was one of the asymmetric neo-gothic Arts and Crafts style houses lining the park side of Crystal Palace Park Road, each of them unique, designed by John Norton and built in the 1870s and 1880s on land sold off by the Crystal Palace Company to offset its significant debts. Converted into multiple dwellings, they became dilapidated in the 1970s and most of them have been restored, but some, including this one, were demolished.
