A view of the front and side elevations of a shop building at number 1A Old Bond Street, Mayfair, at the corner of Piccadilly. The ground-floor shop is Scotts the hatters and the building has three floors of other accommodation. The Scotts entrance is at the corner and it has display windows on both elevations. The building has unusual decorative features with carved stonework around the windows on the angled corner bay and bands of contrasting red and white tiles between the storeys. At the roof are two dormer windows in the Old Bond Street elevation and one to Piccadilly in addition to the corner one. Two policemen in uniform are talking at the street corner next to a traffic light control box. Some other pedestrians can also be seen. An Austin FX4 London taxi with registration number ULX602F can be seen parked in Piccadilly. Dating from 1880, 1A Old Bond Street was Grade II listed in 1970; listing number 1225398.
