Description
Chimneypiece within 12 Stanhope Gate, Mayfair (formerly Great Stanhope Street). Marble chimneypiece with two types of marble and decorated with scrolls of leaves and shells. Under the mantle are egg and dart and crenelation patterns. This chimneypiece has been boxed in. Located in a ground-floor front room of a five-storey house which still exists.
