Description
A view of the front elevations of buildings at 48-70 Charing Cross Road, West End. The picture shows people on the pavement outside shops at the foot of Sandringham Buildings, a residential block. They include a woman holding a furled umbrella and bag looking at books outside a bookshop. The area was once famous for its booksellers, some of which remain. The building still exists.
