A view of the north elevation of the Palace of Westminster, informally known as the Houses of Parliament, from Victoria Embankment across Bridge Street. The New Palace of Westminster was built from 1835-1860 by Charles Barry with detailing by Augustus Pugin. The Palace of Westminster and Houses of Parliament were Grade I listed in 1970; listing number 1226284. The Palace of Westminster is also a World Heritage Site.
