Description
A view of the front elevations of 224-232 (consecutive) Shoreditch High Street, Shoreditch, including the Crown & Shuttle pub at number 226. Buildings include B. Caras & Co Ltd upholsterers' warehousemen at number 224, boarded up, Olympic Café at 227 and Great Eastern Trading Co. at 228. The building at the far left is number 233, latterly a bar called The Light, now closed, but built as Great Eastern's Electric Light Generating Station. Several pedestrians are visible, including two waiting at a bus stop.
