Description
View of the derelict Poplar Hippodrome Theatre (formerly the New Prince's Theatre) on the corner of East India Dock Road and Stainsby Street, Poplar, looking north. Opened in 1905, it was extensively damaged during a bombing raid c1940 and eventually demolished in 1950. Plot is currently occupied by the Lansbury West Estate.
