Description
A view across Fitzroy Square to the north side. The image shows the front elevations of a grand terrace of houses at 11-19 Fitzroy Square. The trees in the square have shed their leaves. Paving slabs and granite setts have been newly laid and equipment is in view including wheelbarrows and a watering can. A number of cars and commercial vehicles are parked in the square. Dating from 1827-28, numbers 11, 12 and 15-19 Fitzroy Square and their railings were Grade II* listed in 1954; listing number 1112995. The symmetry of the original terrace was broken by a twentieth-century insertion of a different design.
