A view of the ground-floor front room of 31 Ampton Street, King's Cross. The window, which has Georgian-style shutters, has been blacked out. There is a curtain rail but no curtains. The fireplace has been boarded up but the board has a hole in it. The room is carpeted and walls are papered. The light has a shade and is operated by a pullcord. Built in 1819-23 by Thomas Cubitt, numbers 21-39 (odd) and their railings were listed Grade II in 1971, listing number 1246998.
