A satirical etching depicting a scene from Pierce Egan's popular 1821 book ‘Life in London: Or, The Day and Night Scenes of Jerry Hawthorne, Esq., and his Elegant Friend Corinthian Tom’. The book tells of the adventures of Tom, Jerry and Logic, in their quest to experience low-life London. They are shown here watching the dustman 'Dusty Bob' and ‘African Sal’ dancing at the East End pub, the All-Max.
