My dear Sir - NO! unless with the consent of the Livery"; Sir James Lawrence, Lord Mayor 1868-69, sits in the Mayoral chair whilst another candidate for the office asks if he will vatcate the chair. Behind, on the right, Samuel Wilson, the third Candidate possibly, rests in a bed marked 'Limited liability'.
