Description
Front elevation of ornate four-storey British Home Stores shop at 3-5 Thames Street, Kingston upon Thames. Decorative rooftop has a plaque with the borough's coat of arms. Cookware can be seen in one shop window. The shop front doors are wide open and racks of clothing and shoppers are seen inside. Numbers 3 and 5 Thames Street are Grade II listed, listing number 1080052. The neighbouring unidentifiable shop at number 7 has signs in the window that indicate a stocktaking clearance. A traffic bollard is in the foreground, a street cleaner's cart on the pavement outside the store, and the front of a saloon car is in view. A 'one way' traffic sign is on the pavement outside number 1. The parade falls within the Kingston Old Town conservation area.
